We hold events throughout the year to help the community learn more about our mission, work with other organizations to end hunger and raise funds that allow us to serve more of the homebound in need in our community.

WheelsUp! is the fundraiser that everyone else will be trying to emmulate ... amazing, exciting, fun, and a win-win-win!

We've finished the inaguaral event, but stay tuned! We'll be going 'wheelsup' again before you know it!

March for Meals

The month of March mobilizes hundreds of local Meals on Wheels programs across the country to reach out to their communities and build the support that will enable them to serve America's homebound all year long. The annual March for Meals campaign is led by Meals on Wheels America and gives the businesses, organizations, governments and volunteers who contribute so generously in their communities an opportunity to support homebound in a variety of ways to make each community stronger and healthier.

Volunteer Appreciation Dinner

Meals on Wheels would be lost without our incredible volunteers. They are our eyes, ears, hand, and feet as we work to meet the needs of the homebound in our community.

Each year, in October, we celebrate the accomplishments of this amazing group of people. Join us for an evening of food, entertainment, and fellowship.

Souper Bowl of Caring

Every year, area churches organize a special collection or sponsor activities on Super Bowl Sunday to help feed the hungry and those in need in our community. It is amazing how even one dollar can make a difference. If we all give a little, we change a lot.

Notecard Sales

Each year, area artists support Meals on Wheels with their donations of artwork for our notecards. Our most recent collections include Living in Lynchburg, Regional Scenes, On the Water, Around the World, and Creatures Great & Small.

At just $10 for a pack of 8 notecards, these make wonderful gifts and additions to your own stationery collection!

MOW Art at the Academy

During the month of October 2019, the Academy Center for the Arts will host an exhibit of artwork by 'Meals on Wheels' artists! Since 2002, local artists have donated images of their work for our annual notecard selections. This year, they will be donating the actual paintings for exhibit, and for sale!

Watch for more details in the upcoming months.
